Pauline "Polly" (Bishop) Ramsey, 90, of Tryon, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2007 at White Oak Manor of Tryon.

Mrs. Ramsey was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, on August 12, 1916, the daughter of the late James Madison and Alice (Tinsley) Bishop and was the widow of John Columbus "J.C." Ramsey.

She was retired from Inman Mills. Mrs. Ramsey was active in her church, having served many positions. She was a choir member for many years and was on the Building Committee for the "New" Sanctuary.

She is survived by one son, Jerry Ramsey and his wife Rachel; one sister, Elizabeth White; two grandchildren, Christy Fisher and her husband Dave and Beverly Deal and her husband Jeff; three great-grandchildren, Samantha Morrison, James Deal, and Jack Deal.

Graveside services were held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, South Carolina, Friday, May 4, 2007 with Rev. Jack Hames and Rev. Buren Blankenship officiating.
