Alvina Blanck, 88, formerly of St. Anna, died Thursday, May 9, 1996, at Villa Loretto Nursing Home, Mount Calvary, where she had resided the past six years. She was born Oct. 21, 1907, in Marytown, a daughter of John and Christina Guelig Schoenborn. She later married Benjamin Blanck at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Mrs. Blanck attended St. Mary's Grade School in Marytown. Following her marriage, she and her husband farmed in Parnell for four years before moving to St. Anna area where they farmed for many years. Mrs. Blanck was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in St. Anna, and a former member of the Christian Mothers Society of the church.

Survivors include one daughter, Luella Vorpahl and her husband Donald of Kiel; two sons, Howard of St. Anna, and Robert and his wife Hazel of Fond du Lac; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Catherine Guelig of Mount Calvary.
Preceding her in death were her daughter-in-law, Pat; one great-granddaughter; two sisters and one brother.
