Major League Baseball Player. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he was a right handed pitcher making his debut with the Pittsburgh Pirates on September 26, 1959. For five seasons, he played primarily as a middle relief pitcher with the Pittsburgh Pirates (1959-61) and Houston Colt 45's (1962-63). Diagnosed with lymphoma, his career ended with a record of 9 wins, 5 losses, 3 saves, 133 strikeouts and a 3.06 earned run average. He died at age 33 in Houston, Texas.
