US Congressman. Elected to represent Connecticut's 1st District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1895 to 1913. Also served as a Member of the Connecticut State House of Representatives in 1883, Member of the Connecticut State Senate from 1887 to 1888, Delegate to the Republican National Convention from Connecticut in 1888, Connecticut State Treasurer from 1889 to 1893, and Mayor of Rockville, Connecticut, from 1894 to 1895.
