She was married to Ray Balmer.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter, Heather (Bobby) Eichelberger, York; a step son Greg Balmer, Boulder, CO; 2 step daughters, Bridget Miller, Manheim, Kim Becker, Elizabethtown; 5 grandchildren, Derrick, Ty, Lauren, Cole, Keira; 2 great grandchildren; and a sister, Nila Reich, Lebanon. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon Patton.
Gloria worked for Sechan Electronics as an assembler. She was an active member of First Church of God, Lititz and a member of Lititz Springs Chapter #499, Order of the Eastern Star. Gloria enjoyed reading, bird watching, going to the beach and spending time with her grandchildren.
Gloria's Life Celebration Service will be held from Spacht Funeral Home, 127 S. Broad St., Lititz on Friday, July 22nd at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. R. Victor Shifler officiating. Private interment in East Fairview Brethren Cemetery, Rapho Twp. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 1:45 p.m. There will be an Eastern Star Service held at 1:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to American Cancer Society, 314 Good Dr., Lancaster, PA 17603-9983.
