Educated at Benenden, spent time in Switzerland and France. In 1940 Rosalind married Major Hubert de Burgh Pritchard and had a son, Mathew Pritchard, in 1943. Her husband was killed a year later on active service in France, during World War II. In 1949 she married again. Her husband, Anthony Hicks, was a lawyer. Mathew Prichard went to Eton and Oxford.In 1967, he married Angela Maples, whom he'd met at Oxford. He lives in south Wales. They had: Alexandra Agatha, James, and Joanna.
