HENDERSON - Rebecca D. Campbell, 81, Henderson, formerly of Bloomington, died at 4:32 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at her residence with her husband by her side.
She was born Dec. 20, 1930, in Heyworth, the daughter of James and Helen Jasper Dennis. She married Thomas P. Campbell on Dec. 17, 1949, in Vallejo, Calif. He survives of Henderson.
Surviving are a son, John Campbell of Henderson; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special niece and nephew, Lisa and Mike Alderson of Henderson. Three sisters and four brothers preceded her in death.
She was raised and educated in Heyworth, graduating from Heyworth High School. She worked for the former Modean in Bloomington for 10 years, and then went to work for the Internal Revenue Service in Bloomington for 13 years, until she retired in 1975.
She enjoyed bowling and was a very avid Cubs fan.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Internment will be at a later date in Henderson Cemetery, Henderson. Memorials may be made in her name and sent to Children's Miracle Network. Online condolences or cards may be made at www.hurd-hendricksfuneralhome.com.
