William F. Callender, Former Chapin Bank President, Dead at 67.
William F. Callender, 67, former president of the Chapin national bank, died today-at his home in Longmeadow after an illness of four months,
He was a native of Hartord, Ct., where his father, W. H. Callender, was a banker.
He was born September 2, 1853, and lived in Hartford until he was about 14 years old when he came to this city and attended the high school.
He began his career in the banking line at the Sprinfield institution for savings as a clerk.... He had been retired for some years. (Note: a portrait photo is included with this obituary.)
