Simeon U. Bowen of Morrisville Dies
Simeon U. Bowen, aged 65, of Morrisville died Sunday morning, Nov. 12, at the Copley Hospital after a brief illness and following a serious operation, from which he failed to rally. A prayer service was held Wednesday morning, Nov. 15, at the M.B. White Funeral Parlors, the Rev. Lawrence Larrowe officiating and the remains were taken to the Methodist Church in Lowell, where funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Gerald Miller of Westfield. Interment was in the family lot in Lowell. Mr. Bowen had resided in Morrisville about seven years. He was employed until his late illness as a carpenter and was working on the C.C.C. construction at Elmore when forced to enter the local hospital. He was united in marriage with Hattie L. Edwards, who died in 1921, and the following children survive: Willis, Alba and Vern; also the following grandchildren: Catherine, Alba Jr., Alberta, Harold, Richard, Agnes, Daniel, Lillian and Elizabeth.
