Saturday - September 27, 1900

Mrs. Elizabeth Barnes , wife of Henry V. Barnes , passed away this morning after a couple weeks of illness at her residence on Thomas Street in Waycross.
She was suffering from the effects of a sun stroke which occurred while she was visiting in Ohio a couple of months ago.
Gathering around her bedside growing weaker and weaker until she gained her wings to be with the Lord, was her family .
She was one of the most devout member of the Trinity Methodist Church .

She is survived by her husband : Henry Venton Barnes

her children:
Jennie (1872-1949)
Charles (1874-1949)
Ada (1876-1948)
Lena (1878-1960)
Nellie (1882-1962)
Bessie (1885-1951)

Funeral services will be held Sunday morning at 10 o'clock at her residence on Thomas Street following burial into Lott Cemetery.

Mincy's Funeral Parlor is in charge.
