Ben was born to C.L. and Lillian Rambo and grew up in Murtaugh. He graduated from Murtaugh High School and attended one year at CSI, where he met Holly Peck.

Ben and Holly were married Feb. 24, 1978, and resided in Twin Falls, where Ben started work at the Kellwood Stocking Plant until moving on to Falls Brand Independent Meat Co. He was employed by Falls Brand for the next 27 years, working his way up the ladder and ending in the position of plant supervisor. In February of 2005, he was retired from Falls Brand due to developing the auto-immune illness of "Evans Syndrome." It was at this time he and Holly moved to Boise to be closer to their boys, Ben's doctors and to try and find a new job.

During periods of remission, Ben worked a year at Micron, went back to school and earned his welding certificate and worked for Reyco Co. before his illness resulted in his being disabled. He loved making items out of metal which he sold in local Boise stores and also gave to family and friends. He loved hiking, camping, fishing, gardening and being with his family and cat "Beulah."

Ben leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Holly; his sons, Blake (Heather) and Eric (Hollie); and new grandson, Hagan, all of Boise; his mother, Lillian; brother, Gene (Sue Ann) of Murtaugh; his sister, Susan (Phil) Perry of LaConner, Wash., and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, C.L. (Jim); and all of his grandparents.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Paul Montgomery, all of the MISTI staff and his friends "family" of St. Luke's 4 O.P. 4 South and his friends of 9 East for their care, love and support.

Cremation is under the direction of Summers Funeral Home in Boise with a memorial service planned for 1 p.m. Friday, July 22, at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road in Twin Falls.
