Transferred out of Company A, 30th Infantry Regiment Kentucky on 9 May 1864. Transferred into Company A, 4th Infantry Regiment Kentucky on 9 May 1864. Captured 30 Jul '64 at Newnan GA, POW at Andersonville. Mustered Out Company A, 4th Infantry Regiment Kentucky on 14 Nov 1865 at Louisville, KY.

PVT Clymer was a survivor of the April 27 1865 explosion of the SS Sultana in the Mississippi River near Memphis.
