James W. Herbold, Sr.
James W. Herbold, Sr., 84 , of Kresgeville, died on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Emeritus of Allentown. He was born in Fountain Hill and was the son of the late Fred C. and Mamie M. (Bauder) Herbold. Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during WWII and Korean Conflict. Jim worked for Bethlehem Steel in the #2 machine shop then worked for Stanley Vidmar Inc. as a forklift operator for 16 years retiring in 1989, then as a maintenance man for Bethany Wesleyan Church until 2003. Jim was an avid hunter, fisherman and flyer. Survivors: Jim will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Susan E. Hartman, and her husband Terry, of Emmaus; son James W. Herbold, Jr., and his wife, Barbara, of Allentown; a sister, Emma Jenny, of Bethlehem Twp.; step-son Richard Beck Jr., and his wife, Shirley, of Kresgeville; and step-daughter Joan Kitchen, and husband, Vernon, Sr., of Dillsburg; eleven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Jim is predeceased by two brothers Carl and Douglas Herbold and two sisters Alfreda and Maryellen Glenn. Services: Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, July 1, 2011, followed by a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. at The Gospel Chapel 2022 Main St. # 1, Northampton, PA 18067 followed by inurnment at Northampton Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Easton, PA.
