"Tammy" Ann Whitecotton, 50 of Lansing, KS passed away at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis after having a brain aneurysm.

Tammy was born on September 21, 1960 in Elwood to J.T. Morris and the late Eileen (Smith) Morris.

She graduated from Elwood Community High School in 1979, and met Mike Whitecotton at Purdue University. On June 7, 1980 they were married and she spent the next 24 years as an Army wife living all over the United States and abroad.

In 1998, Tammy obtained her Associates Degree in Radiography and was employed as an x-ray tech. Most recently she was the Imaging Department Supervisor, at Associates in Family Health Care in Lansing, KS. Tammy enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking, baking, camping, fishing, taking care of her dogs and most of all spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Westside Family Church in Lenexa, KS.

Tammy is survived by her husband of 31 years Mike Whitecotton of Lansing, KS

Celebration of life services will be held Friday July 8, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Dunnichay Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Heaton of Westside Family Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation will be held 11:00 to 1:00 at the funeral home.
