Paul F. Benedict, age 71, of Minerva died, Thursday, June 21, 2007 in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. He was born September 4, 1935 in Minerva, OH, to Fredrick and Louise (Schmidt) Benedict. He was the former owner/operator of Benedict Hardware in Carrollton, the Kounty Kountry Kitchen in Carrollton, Young's Hardware and the Malvern Pizza Works. He is survived by his loving wife, Vida (Pinkey) Benedict whom he married Dec. 1, 2000; three daughters, Debra LeBeau of Carrollton, Sandra (Wes) Duffy of Malvern, Janet Kennedy of Canton; six sons, Rick Benedict of Gahanna, OH, Dan Benedict of Washington State, Tom (Wilma) Benedict of Doylestown, OH, Kevin Benedict of New Philadelphia, John Yeager of Miami, OK, Paul Yeager of North Carolina; two sisters, Pearl Benedict of Minerva, Betty Benedict of Malvern; two brothers, Glenn (Nancy) Benedict of Malvern, Wayne Benedict of Waynesburg; 23 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by
three brothers, Clinton, Fredrick and Kenneth Benedict. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Pastor Allen Hill officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sun. from 5-9 p.m in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Malvern food Bank.
