Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00AM Monday, December 27, 2010 at St. Richard Catholic Church in Jackson. Visitation will begin one hour preceding the service. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson. Wright and Ferguson Parkway Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Clare grew up in Dallas, Texas where she graduated from Hockaday College. She worked as a legal secretary at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. during the final years of World War 2.
Back in Dallas, after the war, she met and married John H. Bianchi. In 1952 they were transferred to Jackson, MS with Seaboard Oil Company. Together they raised seven children. John passed away in 1984. She was a communicant at St. Richards Catholic Church. She loved nature, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Wesley and Clarita Whitcomb; husband, John H. Bianchi; sister, Janet Logsdon; and one grandchild.
She is survived by her sons, John M. Bianchi, James Bianchi, Joel Bianchi and wife Tracy, David Bianchi, and William Bianchi; daughters, Diane Gray, and Gail Tranum and husband John; brothers, Mike Parker and Tony Parker; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
