MARRIED ON PINNACLE'S TOP
Adams-Sanders Ceremony Performed at Top of Barton's Peak.
James Trigg Adams, of Prospect, Kentucky, and Margaret Sanders, of Corbin, were given their vows at sunrise Monday morning on the very tiptop of Barton's Pinnacle. The marriage terminates a long school courtship. Adams graduated in this year's class of the college. He was one of the most prominent men on the campus. He served as vice-president of the Senior Class and as editor of The Pinnacle. The bride was also a Berea student, well known on campus.
The bride's brother, HARLAND SANDERS JR., acted as best man; the bridesmaid was Miss Ruth Gardner, of Berea, Miss Nellie Hayes furnished the music for the ceremony, with the Senior president, Estill Meadows, assisting.
With cameras clicking and a movie outfit grinding, the pair were united by Prof. J. Wesley Hatcher, of Berea. The single ring ceremony was used. The groom apologized for the hard climb, but many of the most prominent campus people thought nothing of it. The hungry crowd had a wedding breakfast at Boone Tavern.
