He married 24 June 1896 recorded in Vol 3 page 345 of Eau Claire Co records to Anna Lillian Hobbs, daughter of Joseph Hobbs and Jane Wilson Hobbs.
In 1910 he began to sell western lands for the Yakima Realty Investment Co and organized the Washington Realty Investment Co in 1912. In about 1915 the family relocated to Yakima, Washington.
Hiram and Anna had 4 children: Warren LeRoy, Willie, Joseph Wayland, and Kendall Leigh. Their son Willie was only on the 1905 census record and then not seen again so evidently died young.
Hiram died in Yakima, Yakima, WA 20 Feb 1940 and was buried in Terrace Heights Memorial Park there.
