Albert was born to Otto and Johanna (Franson) Johnson.

In 1910, Albert, age 22 was living as a lodger at 511 Everett St. in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon with his cousin Carl A. Danielson, age 30 who immigrated from Sweden in 1880. Albert was a bookkeeper for a wholesale house and Carl was a cabinetmaker in a factory. Also part of household was Axel E. Anderson, age 21 from Sweden, occupation was Carpenter for a contracting company.

Albert’s father Otto and Carl’s father Daniel were brothers. In 1911 Carl returned to Sweden stopping in Omaha first to visit his sister Elsa Jacobson possibly accompanied by Albert.

In 1912 at the age of 24, Albert married Emily G. Carlson.

Between 1917 and 1918 Albert registered for the draft. He was of medium height and slender build, blue eyes and light hair. Albert was married with two children living at 1123 North 29th Street, Omaha. At the time of his registration, he was treasurer for the Ideal Concrete and Stone Company located at 1708 Cuming St. Omaha.

In 1920, Albert, age 31 was living at 1123 North 29th Street in Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska with his wife Emily G., age 31; daughter Gertrude, age 6 and son Claude L., age 3. Albert’s occupation was Secretary for a Stone Company. (As of 2018 the house no longer stands).

In 1930, Albert, age 41, lived at 309 North 37th Street in Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska with wife Emily G., age 42; daughter Gertrude, age 16; son Claude L., age 13 and daughter Irene E., age 7. Albert’s occupation was Vice President for a cement and stone company. They owned their home valued at $12000 and a radio set.

In 1940, Albert, age 51 continued to live at 309 North 37th Street with wife Emily, age 52; son Claude L., age 23, bookkeeper for a loan company and daughter Irene E., age 17. Albert’s occupation was Vice President for a cement company.

For 35 years, Albert's son Claude was Vice President and Retail Credit Manager for Ideal Concrete and Stone Company.
