GREEN RIVER, UTAH- Sylvia Levern Hunt Bigelow "Grandma B", age 84, passed away Dec. 27, 2000 in Bountiful.
She was born Dec 29, 1915 in Aldrich, UT to Elias Franklin and Eva Hortense Johnson Hunt. She married William Le-von Bigelow Oct. 6, 1932 in Green River, later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.
She was very skilled with her hands and would make beautiful quilts, doilies, and afghans which she would share with her family, a gift of love for each child, grandchild, and great grandchild. She and her husband owned and operated the Bigelow Motel for many years in Green River. As a member of the LDS Church she served in various callings and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by four daughters, Barbara Swanson, St. George, Bonnie (John) Vetere, Green River, Billie Mae (David) Olney, Sandy, Betty (Layne) Harward, West Bountiful; 21 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; 10 great great-grandchildren; brothers, Arel Hunt, Green River; Ferris Hunt, Price; Reed Hunt, Farmington, NM; and sisters, Lucinda Christensen, Bountiful; Maedell Ekker, Green River. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Beverly Hurley; great-grandson, Rhett Nelson; brothers, Boyd Hunt, Ruben Hunt; and sisters, Fern Hunt, Irma Hunt.
Services will be Tues. Jan 2, 2001, 12 noon in the Green River LDS Chapel where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial, Elgin Cemetery. Directors, Fausett Mortuary.
