Eldest son of Rem and Sarah Brinckerhoff Adriance. He was a farmer in Flushing, L. I. In 1730 he inherited farmland that is currently named Queens County Farm Museum. On August 21, 1771 a marriage license was issued to Elbert and Sarah Brinckerhoff. There were no children from this union. His Will proved at Jamaica, L. I., 1804 and in it mentions his step-son as his son-in-law.
