U.S. Congressman. In 1909, he relocated to Illinois, as president of a banking institution. For many years he was evolved in community affairs and served as treasurer of the Rantoul school district. He was elected as a Republican to the Seventy-sixth, Seventy-seventh, and Seventy-eighth Congresses serving from 1939, until his death in office.
