PEPPERELL -- Roger A. Montminy, age 75, a longtime resident of Pepperell, died June 15, 2011, at his residence, after an extended illness.

He was the husband of Jeannine (Larochelle) Montminy with whom he shared 54 years of marriage.

He was born in Berlin, NH on September 8, 1935, the son of the late Arthur and Yvonne (Croteau) Montminy. He was educated in the Berlin School System.

He moved to Pepperell in 1965 and was employed by several paper mills for over 40 years prior to retiring from the Pepperell Paper Company in 1996.

Mr. Montminy was a former member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #317 of Pepperell, as well as a former member of the volunteer fire department in Pepperell.

Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Ronald Montminy and his wife, Janice of El Paso, Texas, and Raymond Montminy and his wife, Hilary of Camden, Michigan; a daughter, Rita Hallisey and her husband, Michael of Townsend; a sister, Pauline Laplante and her husband, Yvon of Longueuil, PQ, Canada; a step-sister, Gloria Couture and her husband, Raymond of San Diego, California; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nieces.

His funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 1 School Street, Townsend, MA. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Pepperell, Mass.
