A well known Washington lady, Mrs. W.W. Hurdle, known in business circles as MME. Washington, died yesterday morning at her residence 1704 L Street Northwest. She was a woman of kindly disposition, generous heart, and of superior business capabilities, having conducted large establishments in New York , Chicago , New Orleans as well as in this city. She was formerly the widow of the late John S. Washington, for many years editor of the New Orleans Picayune. She leaves a husband and three daughters. The funeral will be held at her residence tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock."
