She was a nurse who retired from Alcan Aluminum Corp., and previously worked for the Cook Hospital, Fairmont General Hospital, Owens Illinois Glass Co. and Dr. Joseph T. Mallamo. She graduated from Waynesburg High School and in 1938 from the Cook Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of the Galiliean Baptist Church on Lanham Drive, the Business and Professional Women's Club and the Town and Country Garden Club.
