Mrs. Lorena Dallner, 98, former longtime resident of Jefferson County, died early this morning at the Hershey Nursing Home in Muscatine.
The body is at the Raymond Funeral Home where last right are pending.
Lorena Dallner was born Feb. 17, 1872, in Henry County, the daughter of Peter W. and Catherine Hull Lyon. She would have been 99 next week.
She was married March 27, 1895, to Fred S. Dallner who preceeded his wife in death April 27, 1953. She was also preceded in death by one sister, four brothers, and one great-grandchild.
Six children survive. They are Espy and Rex both of Fairfield; Dale, Des Moines; Mrs. Emerson Masden, Fairfield; Mrs Phil Kopp, Muscatine; and Beatrice, Ottumwa.
Other survivors include eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
