Ollie was born to Oliver and Agnes Hadland on June 9, 1923. He graduated from Central High in Grand Forks and went on to Dunwoody, before being drafted into the army from 1943 - 1946. He was a member of the American Legion for over 60 years. He worked for Northwestern Bell as a transmission engineer.
He married Sadie Zeman on May 10, 1947. Together they enjoyed roller skating and bowling. Ollie was a quiet and reserved man who enjoyed music, photography, computers and was quite a handyman.
Those who are left to remember his life, are his wife of 64 years, Sadie; son, Doug of Lompoc, CA; daughters, Shelley (Wayne) Gerlitz of Deer River, MN; and Jackie Hadland of Grand Rapids, MI; and son Rick (Kathy) Hadland of Kindred, ND; nine grandchildren - Denielle, Stephanie, Joe, James, Kristen, Kim, Brent, Rachelle, and Roderick; 11 great grandchildren; and a sister, Marlene Menge of CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Joseph; grandson, Eric; and brother, Harvey.
