Julius C. Harding, age 5 years, was enumerated August 13, 1850, at Ridgefield, Huron County, Ohio, with Julius C. Hubble 55 grandfather, Sally Hubble 56 grandmother, Sophia Hubble 22, Francis Hubble 19, Cathartte Hubble 15, Carmella Harding 27 mother. Julius C. Harding, age 15 years, was enumerated July 21, 1860, at Amador County, California, with A. L. Harding 38, Carmella Harding 37.

Julius C. Harding, age 20 years, enrolled at Jackson, California, October 8, 1864, and was mustered in as private in Captain Walter S. Cooledge's Company C, 7th California Infantry, on October 27, 1864. He was discharged, with his company, at The Presidio of San Francisco, California, April 26, 1866.

J. C. Harding married Hattie E Kitchum at Wood County, Ohio, April 24, 1870. John (sic, Julius) C. Harding, age 25 years, was enumerated June 22, 1870, at Washington, Wood County, Ohio, with Harriet Harding 19. Cratus Harding, age 34 years, was enumerated June 15, 1880, at Amador County, California, with Harriet Harding 29, Lena Harding 9. Julius C. Harding, age 55 years and a widower, was enumerated June 21, 1900, at Alabama, Sacramento County, California, with Hariette C. Harding 10 niece, Orville M. Harding 10 nephew, Lulu M. Harding 7 niece. Julius C. Harding was admitted to the Veterans Home of California, Yountville, Napa County, California, January 3, 1910. The enumeration shows that he was married and had been married for seven years and that he was a survivor of the Union Army. Julius C. Harding, age 65 years, was enumerated April 21, 1910, at Yountville, Napa County, California.
