EASTON – Edgar F. Strout, 84, died early Sunday morning, Jan. 25, 2009, at his home. He was born Dec. 21, 1924, in Charleston, the son of Ralston and Nellie (Robbins) Strout. He attended Charleston schools. Edgar was a past member and officer of Bradford Grange. He worked as a self-employed woodsman and then worked for Valshing, Maine Sugar Beet and for H&G Produce, Easton.

He is survived by his wife, Winnifred "Winnie" Strout of Easton; a son, Keith Strout and his wife, Harriet, of Fort Fairfield; four daughters, Sally Strout of Easton, Nancy Beattie and her husband, Daniel, of Highland, Mich., Susan Saucier and her husband, Armand, of Presque Isle and Bonnie Hotham and her husband, Brian, of Presque Isle; a brother, Aubrey Strout and his wife, Joan, of Lamoine; two sisters and their husbands, Florence and Gerald Turner of Garland and Thelma and Keith Ross of LaGrange; a brother-in-law, Ronnie Acor of Canisteo, N.Y.; nine grandchildren, including a special granddaughter, Candice Madore and her husband, John, of Sidney; 13 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Leon "Bud" Strout; and a sister, Roberta Acor.
Spring interment will be at Estes Park Cemetery, Easton. (Bangor Daily News 1/25/2009)
