She was born February 24, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York to Jesse R. Hawkins and Emma Chatfield. On October 5, 1945, Jessie married Dean K. Allen in Hyrum, Utah. They spent 59 wonderful years together. Dean preceded her in death on April 4, 2005.
She was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church.
Jessie retired from the Internal Revenue Service in 1993. She also worked as a secretary for B-Mart, Northern Utah Glass and Ogden Chrome Plating. She also worked for National Biscuit Company as a telephone operator in New York City.
Mom loved and enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jessie is survived by three sons, Richard D. (Elaine) Allen, Roy; Jeffery Kim Allen, Ogden; Michael Jay (Kathy) Allen, Rogue River, OR; two daughter, Sandy (Lynn) Gould, Roy; Kristie (Wayne) Goodwin, Clinton; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary E. Allen, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a grandson, Danny Dean Allen.
