Mrs. Maisie Violet Covert, 65, of Orbisonia, died Monday October 30, 1967, at 1:15 p.m. in the Carlisle Hospital at Carlisle where she had been a patient for the past seven days. Born in Cromwell Township, September 22, 1902, she was a daughter of Levi and Katherine (Swope) Madden. She was united in marriage to Emory J. Covert, who preceded her in death January 31, 1954. Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Katherine Madden of Hill Valley and the following children; Mrs. James (Geraldine) Massey, Carlisle; Mrs. Robert (Cleo) Spencer, New Cumberland; Berlin Covert, Philadelphia; Guy Covert, Three Springs; Mrs. Wilson (Dorothy Ann) Bock, Fannetsburg; Mrs. Joseph (Marcella) Williams, Chambersburg; Mrs. Robert (Janet) Wickard, Carlisle; Emory Covert, Jr. at home, Barry Covert, Carlisle and Debra Covert, at home. There are 16 grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters surviving: Ralph Madden, Floyd Madden and Melvin Madden, all of Hill Valley, Mrs. Cula Greene, McConnellstown, Mrs. Alma Starr, Three Springs R.D.; Mrs. Vera Thompson, McConnellstown, The deceased attended the Orbisonia Church of the Nazarene. At one time, she had been employed with the Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg. Interment will be made in Monroe Chapel Cemetery at Three Springs R.D.
