Myrtle P. Curry, 100, formerly of 2210 W. Memorial, died early this morning in the Muncie Health Care Center, where she had lived the past four years. She had been ill for a short time. She was born in Henry County near Needmore, came to Muncie as a child, attended area schools and spent most of her life in Delaware County.
The widow of Mark Curry, she was a member of Southside Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Leroy (Vera) Williams, Montpelier; a son-in-law, Monroe Brown, Muncie; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Curry was preceded in death by a daughter, Evelyn Brown in 1979, a son, George Curry in 1983, and a sister, Audrey Chase in 1983.
Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Meeks Mortuary Chapel. Burial is to follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after noon Friday.
