Alice M. (Lauzon) Biron, 87, of Manchester, died May 18, 2011 at the Catholic Medical Center after a short illness.
She was born in Brockton, MA on December 1, 1923, the daughter of Franklin and Grace Lauzon. She was educated in the Somerville, MA school system.

During WWII, she had volunteered with the USO. She had also been a member of the Sacred Heart Associates as well as the United Commercial Travelers.

She was a communicant of St. Catherine Church.

Alice will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who found her greatest joy when surrounded by family.

She was predeceased by her husband Edward G. Biron last month.

Family members include her children, Barbara B. Thinnes and husband Robert of Hooksett, Janice B. Chapdelaine and husband Marc of Wilmington, DE, Bruce E. Biron and wife Denise of Hooksett, Susan R. Podawiltz and husband Thomas of Franklin, Paul J. Biron and wife Nicole of Choctaw, OK; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Barbara Reidy of Woburn, MA, Rosalie Faferty and husband Joseph of Newport Richey, FL; many nephews and nieces.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, May 23, 2011 in St. Catherine of Siena Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock Streets. Burial followed in NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Catherine Parish, 207 Hemlock St, Manchester, NH 03104.
