Kathleen Cole Baxter, 92, of Collierville, Tenn., formerly of Monticello, Arkansas, died Tuesday at Collierville Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born March 8, 1911, at Monticello, a daughter of the late Samuel Edward Cole and Elizabeth Finn Cole.
She was a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
She was a teacher at Monticello and San Antonio.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church at Monticello, where she was a circle leader and president of the United Methodist Women.
She was a member of Chi Omega Soroity and the Monticello Junior Auxiliary.
She also served as the local chairwoman for the March of Dimes, cancer drive, heart fund and civic health drive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Baxter.
Survivors include one son, Robert C. Baxter of Collierville; three grandchildren; and one great grandson.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home of Monticello with the Rev. Ed Wyers officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery at Monticello.
