DAVENPORT -- Services for Dorothy L. Welch, 62, Davenport, will be 1 p.m. today at People's Missionary Baptist Church, Rock Island. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.
Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Friday at Orr's Mortuary, Rock Island.
Mrs. Welch died Tuesday, June 26, 2001, at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport.
Dorothy Hickman was born Jan. 31, 1939, in Preston, Miss. She married Roosevelt Welch in 1959 in Kemper County, Miss.
Survivors include her husband, Roosevelt; daughters, Synthia Lucas and Deborah Welch, both of Davenport, Loretta Welch, Alsip, Ill., Jacqueline Simms, Omaha, Neb., and Annie Welch, Rock Island; a son, Roosevelt Jr., Davenport; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Beck and Madis Nunn, both of Davenport, Janie Kellum and Gloria Sanders, both of Omaha, Minnie Hickman, Preston, Willie McDuffy and Gerdie White, both of Rock Island, and Valentine Gully, St. Louis; and brothers, L.D. Hickman, Davenport, J.W. Hickman, Rock Island, and Seal and Terry "Fat Boy" Hickman, both of Preston.
