Mary Laquet Aged Resident, Dies at Home.
Mrs. Mary Marie Laquet, 93, passed away at her home at 217 West State St. at
4:30 pm. Tuesday, July 21 following a lingering illness. She had lived in and
around Mascoutah all her life. She was born November 30, 1859 in Mascoutah
Township, a daughter of the late Johan and Catherine Weber, nee Hoercher and
married Michael Laquet, December 2, 1884 in St. Clare's Catholic Church in
O'Fallon, Ill. Her husband, a teamster, preeded her in death 21 years ago,
September 21, 1932. Mrs. Laquet is survived by three children, Albert Laquet
at home, Michael Laquet of this city and Otto J. Laquet of Bellevill, Ill. She
is also survived by three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A
brother, two half-brothers and one half-sister preceded her in death. Friends
may call at the Moll funeral parolor after 7 o'clock tonight until 8:45 Friday
morning. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at the Holy Childhood
Catholic Church, Rev. Ferd Weyrich officating with interment in Holy Childhood
Catholic Cemetery.
