Duane Wiedrich Lifelong Resident Of Macedon Dies
MACEDON CENTER: Duane E. Wiedrich, 84, passed away at his home Aug. 27, 1955 following a long illness. Son of the late Martin and Ella Galloway Wiedrich, he was born March 5, 1871 at the Galloway farm on Macedon-Palmyra Townline Rd. He was united in marriage to Flora J. Hicks on Nov. 14, 1894 by Rev. Albert B. Norton, pastor of Macedon Center Methodist Church at the home of the bride's parents, where they have since resided.
Mr. Wiedrich was a 60-year member of Macedon Center Methodist Church and a golden sheaf
member and past master of Macedon Grange No. 326. Besides his wife, Flora, he is survived by one son, Leon, who resides with his wife Jessie at the farm home.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon by Rev. Homer E. Cole, pastor of Canisteo Methodist Church, at the Payne Funeral Home. Burial was in Macedon Center Cemetery.
