Carlos Jesús García Berlanga Manrique (his full name), was a Spanish singer and composer. He wrote pop music during the 1970s and 80s, such as "Otra Dimensión," "Perlas Ensangrentadas," "Bailando," and "A Quién le Importa." His first group was "Kaka de Luxe" at the end of the 70s (probably the first punk group in Spain). In this group, Berlanga joined Nacho Canut and Olvido Gara "Alaska" (three of the most decisive figures in Spanish pop music). Afterwards, Berlanga co-founded "Alaska & Pegamoides," and "Alaska & Dinarama." In 1990, he began a solo career. He also painted and did graphic design, like the poster for Almodovar's film "Matador" in 1986. Berlanga died at the age of 42 after a liver long disease.
