Mrs. Ethel E. Mitchell, formerly of Springfield, died Monday morning at Fairmount hospital in Hayward, Calif. She was born Nov. 26, 1885, a daughter of Alice and Hiram Ray at Lockport, Ind.
She is survived by one son, Lawrence Howe, East Peoria; two grandchildren, Betty Jackson, East Peoria, and Iona June Howe, Washington, Ill., and one sister in California. Her parents and two brothers preceded her in death.
Remains will be removed to Springfield for burial in Oak Ridge cemetery.
