"Dorothea Anne Bishop, born November 16, 1915, to Arthur H. Welland and Sarah Anne Huntington Welland in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away December 19, 2003. She married Frederick S. Bishop on August 30, 1939, and had two children, Cynthia Bishop Borgelt and Timothy Bishop. She worked in Kansas City, Missouri, at City Hall, Emery Bird Thayer and the Internal Revenue Service, retiring in 1979. She was a member of St. Johns's United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Fred; daughter, Cynthia and her husband, Roger Borgelt; and son, Timothy and his wife, Linda Bishop. Also her grandchildren, Roger B. Borgelt, Krista Borgelt-Gonzales, Audra Borgelt, Timothy Bishop Jr., Todd Bishop, Ted Bishop and Tricia Bishop- Armstrong. And her great-grandchildren, Ronald, Samantha, Alexis and Brianna Gonzales and Shelby, Cory and Kier Bishop. A beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She loved to laugh and made others laugh with her. She always said that in diversity it was easy to laugh as to cry. We will miss your laughter and love you always...."
