Dies Suddenly From Heart Attack At Age 52 Years - Funeral Wednesday Morning
Joseph H. Adams, husband of Katherine Hemler Adams, 5 Granger Street, died suddenly yesterday morning about 4:30 o'clock at his home. Death was due to a heart attack. He was 52 years old.
Mr. Adams, a veteran of World War I, was a son of the late William J. and Jennie Eline Adams. He was a member of St. joseph's Catholic Church and of the Holy Name Society of that parish. He, too, was affiliated with Harold H. Bair post No. 14, American Legion, and the Hanover Home Association.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are three daughters, Odelia, Kathleen, and Martha Adams, all at home; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Beck, York, and Pauline Pauline Yealy, Mrs. Hilda Kessler and Mrs. Helena Myers, all of Hanover, and two brothers, George Adams, Baltimore Street, and Raymond Adams, Atlantic City, NJ.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. at the Dennis R. Wetzel Funeral Home, Carlisle Street, followed by a requiem high mass at 9 o'clock in St. Joseph's Catholic CHurch, Baltimore Street. The Rev. Robert G. Gribbon, assistant rector, will be celebrant. Interment will be in Conewago Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wetzel Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home Tuesday at 8 p.m.
He and his wife, Katherine first lived at address was 267 Meade Avenue. He was my Dad's uncle. RIP
