According to the Evanston City Cemetery records: burial date 10-2-2004; aged 77.Father of 12 children.He is the sixth of twelve children.He went to school in Cerro, N.M., moved to Randolph, UT and served in the Korean War.Married Saundra Luo Hoffman on June 6,1954 and they were the parents of eight children.She passed away on April 23,1977. He worked in Randolph, Utah and for the Union Pacific Railroad. He had a farm in Colorado.On April 14,1984 he married Luz Elena Villalba and are the parents of four children.He retired from the railroad and spent time at odd jobs keeping busy. His interests are spending time with his 12 children, 24 grand children and 6 great grand children,being outdoors,hunting, fishing,and taking care of the farm animals with his family.He is survived by his wife Luz Elena Gomez;children, Velda and Jerry Horne, Virgie and Tom Joyner, Doreen and Jimmy Kilgore,Lucinda and Terry Leckie,Moises Gilbert Gomez Jr,Kim and Tracy Gomez, Todd Gomez, Rodrick Gomez,Randy Gomez, Rueben Gomez,Evelyn Gomez,and Ray Gomez;sisters,Ida Lueras,Isabel Mendez,Marietta Solis,Mae Quintana,Estrella Landin,and Gail Roper.He is preceded in death by first wife Saundra Lou Hoffman Gomez; parents Moses and Alcia Gomez; three brothers, Virgil,Pete,and George Gomez; two sisters, Frances and infant girl;and grandson Thomas Kilgore. Funeral services will be Saturday,Oct.2,2004, at 11a.m.at Crandall Funeral Home.A viewing will be Friday, Oct. 1, 2004, from 6 p.m. at Crandall Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services.
