Mrs. Lovie Jeanette Fordham Clark, 93 of Soperton, died Monday, September 29, 2008. Mrs. Clark was born in the Rock Springs Community of Laurens County and also lived in the Long Pond Community of Montgomery County before moving to Treutlen County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry Frank and Shade McConnell Fordham; her husband, Herbert F. Clark; a son, Guy Clark; and two grandsons, Jeff and Ricky Clark. She was a devoted housewife, homemaker and member of Orianna Baptist Church, Treutlen County.

Survivors include five sons and three daughters-in-law; Tarrel Clark of Aiken, South Carolina, Wayne and Laura Clark of Forest Park, Carlos and Mary Nell Clark, Elton Clark, and Wade and Ann Clark, all of Soperton; a sister, Glynese Roberson of Dublin; seven grandchildren, Delora (Dana) Simmons, Steven (Becky) Clark, Brett (Holly) Clark, Carla (Glenn) Phillips, Royce (Jessica) Clark, Lisa (David) Avery, and Keith (April) Clark; ten great-grandchildren, April (Kyle) Braddy, Noelle (Lolo) Lyles, Aubrey Clark, Reid Clark, Bryan Keen, Jake Keen, Mason Clark, Marleigh Clark, Meredith Avery and Lauren Avery; a great-great-grandchild, Riley Braddy; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, October 2, with the Reverends H.G. Ridgdill and Curtis Sumner officiating. Burial will be in Orianna Cemetery. ShareThis
