Wife of US Constitution Signer Rufus King, whom she married on March 30, 1786 in New York City, New York

They had seven children:

1 – John Alsop King (January 3, 1788-July 7, 1867). Served as 22nd Governor of New York 1857 to 1859.

2 – Charles King (March 16, 1789-September 27, 1867). Served as President of Columbia College from 18549 to 1864. 1st Married Eliza Gracie in 1808, daughter of shipping magnate Archibald Gracie. 2nd Married to Henrietta Liston Low in 1826. Had 14 children – 8 with Eliza, 6 with Henrietta.

3- Caroline King (1790-1793) Died in childhood.

4 – James Gore King (May 8, 1791-October 3, 1853). Married Sarah Rogers Gracie, daughter of shipping magnate Archibald Gracie. Served as US Congressman from New Jersey from 1849 to 1851.

5 – Henry King (1792-1792) died in infancy

6 – Edward King (March 13, 1795-February 6, 1836). Ohio State Politician, serving twice as Speaker of Ohio State House.

7 – Frederick King (1802-1829)
