AGE RESIDENT OF COUNTY DIES
Peter Burg of St. Cloud Succumbs to Illness of Year's Duration

Peter Burg a resident of this county since 1848, died at St. Agnes Hospital at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon, after an illness of over a year.

Mr. Burg was a resident of St. Cloud, had lived in this county practically all his life. He was born in Marytown, on February 15, 1848, and was 69 years of age.

Besides a widow, seven children survive the deceased. They are four sons: Jacob, Anton, Joseph and Matt and three daughters, Mrs. Peter Escher of Kiel WI; Mrs. Frank Hochrein of this city, and Mrs. William Hoeffner, also of Fond du Lac.

There are also eleven grandchildren surviving.

The body was taken to St. Cloud at 10:30 o'clock this morning. The funeral will be held at St. Claudius Church at that place at 10 o'clock Monday, and interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

Notes: John went by the name of Peter.

He has two recorded death certificates. One death certificate reads the parents were Jacob Burg and Margaret Keuler. DOB: April 10, 1848. Died of an embolism contibutory was prostectomy.

He married Anna Mary Nett 1874 in St. Cloud.

Peter is not buried next to his wife Anna Mary. They are buried in the same cemetery, two rows apart. In their later married life, they didn't get along together.

He has eight children. One son John, preceded him in death in 1905.
