He was born Sept. 19, 1933, in Dayton, to the late Walter and Lillian Rohler Buskirk, and graduated from Dayton High School in 1951. He attended Indiana Business College and served in the Navy.
On Aug. 25, 1956, he married Shirley Eileen Rayburn in Lafayette, and she survives.
Mr. Buskirk was a member of Dayton United Methodist Church, enjoyed woodcrafting, and was an avid NASCAR and sports fan.
Also survivingare 3 nieces, 2 nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Ray Buskirk.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2011, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., with services there at 1 p.m. Saturday, Pastor Earl Owen officiating. Entombment at Rest Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers
