Mrs. Armande "Sally" Wachniak, 58, died Sunday at Bulloch Memorial Hospital after a long illness. The Quebec, Canada, native lived in Statesboro for 27 years and was part owner with her husband of the Parkwood Motel and Restaurant. She was a member of Pittman Park United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, William Wachniak, Statesboro; two daughters, Mrs. Paula Russell, Statesboro, and Mrs. Lana Wachniak Wallace, Marietta; a son, Harry Wachniak, Statesboro; eight sisters and four brothers; and a granddaughter.
The funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Pittman Park United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ray Powell officiating. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery. Hodges-Turner Funeral Home.
