Visitaion will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday,May 3, 2011 and Wednesday, May 4, 2011 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Waterloo Baptist Church 320 Covington Drive, Waterloo, IL 62298. Funeral service wil be held ar 10:30 a.m., Wednesday,May 4, 2011 at the Waterloo Baptist Church in Waterloo, IL. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Caseyville, IL. Memorials may be made to the family.

Michael H. Beahringer, 68, of Waterloo, Ill., born Oct. 31, 1942, in St. Louis, Mo., died at 10:20 a.m. on Sunday, May 1, 2011, at Barnes Jewish South Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Mr. Beahringer was a steel worker at Granite City Steel (NESCO) for 23 years. He was a member of Local 1021 in Granite City, Ill., and the Waterloo Baptist Church in Waterloo, Ill., where he was a deacon of the church. He enjoyed working with youth groups in his church and he also worked with children at Bethel Baptist Church in Caseyville, Ill. Michael enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Moss; a daughter, Terri Brown; and a brother, David Beahringer.

Surviving are his wife, Doris J., nee Scheibel, Beahringer, whom he married on June 29, 1963, in Collinsville, Ill.; daughters, Lori (Tom) Johnston of Red Bud, Ill., and Donna (Brad) Geltz of Rosepine, La.; grandchildren, Jamie (Scott) Davis of Nashville, Ill., Steven Geltz of Waterloo, Ill., Sara Johnston of Red Bud, Ill., Heather Geltz of Rosepine, La., Chris Johnston of Red Bud, Ill., Elisabeth Johnston of Red Bud, Ill., Aaron Geltz of Rosepine, La., Leah Johnston of Red Bud, Ill., Kaleigh Johnston of Red Bud, Ill., Lindsey Johnston of Red Bud, Ill., and Caleb Geltz of Rosepine, La.; great-grandchildren, Terry Davis, James Davis and Carl Davis, all of Nashville, Ill.
