TAUNTON – Anne (McCormack) Medeiros, Retired Pediatric Nurse, at the age of 80, wife of the late Joseph Medeiros, died in Morton Hospital surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday morning, May 16, 2009. She was born in Sydney Mines, NS, Canada, the daughter of the late Allen and Rose (McConville) McCormack.

Mrs. Medeiros was educated in the East Longmeadow (MA) Public Schools and graduated from LPN school in Taunton. She worked as a pediatric nurse at Morton Hospital for over twenty years. Anne was a member of a prayer group that worshipped at all the local Catholic churches and she was a former eucharist minister. She enjoyed going to the YMCA, vacationing with her late husband in Florida, gardening and spending time with her family. Anne was a member of the Morton Hospital Retirees Association and the Gaelich Society.

Mrs. Medeiros was the mother of Cindy Reichenberg and her husband Bob of New Jersey, Anne McKenna and her husband Joe of Taunton, Jay Medeiros and his wife Diane of Taunton, Kevin Medeiros and his wife Becky of Lakeville, and Joe Medeiros and his wife Jen of Taunton. Anne was the mother-in-law of the late Donna Marie (Arieta) Medeiros. She was the grandmother of Lindsay, Matt, Jordan, Megan and Marshall Medeiros, and Kristin Dooley, Samantha Kewer, Kiley, Savannah and Owen McKenna. She was the sister of Carol Majane and her husband John of Springfield, Eileen Nelson and her husband Bob of Hampden, Alan McCormack and his wife Kathy of East Longmeadow, and Raymond McCormack and his late wife Lil of East Longmeadow.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral from THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton, Friday, May 22, 2009, at 10:00AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, St. Mary's Square, Taunton, at 11:00AM. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Taunton. Calling hours will be Thursday, May 21, from 4:00-8:00PM in the funeral home.
