Merrick A. Stoner, West Pitt St., Bedford, a veteran of the Civil War, died at his home at 5 a.m. Monday of paralysis.
He was born at McConnellsburg, Fulton county, March 8, 1839, a son of Jacob F. and Anna Freymyer Stoner.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Annie C. Davis, and Mrs. Carrie Russell at home, and Mrs. Mary Ella Neff, Cumberland, Md.
He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Bedford.
Funeral services were conducted at the home at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in charge of the Rev. M. J. Ross. Burial was made in Bedford Cemetery.
He was and undertaker in Bedford for many years, and also conducted a cabinet making shop until retirement about ten years ago.
